Today I am grateful for
1. Help with the girls. Aunt Susie and Uncle Jack watched the girls while I worked this morning, and I am thankful to have Eric's family close by and willing to help. Sometimes, I get caught up in the dream of having a 24-7 family member available to watch the girls - for free- like other friends of mine have, but reality is I don't, and I need to be grateful of the times we are helped for free.
2. Eric's attitude. Typically, this is a negative aspect to my day, but these past few days he has really surprised me. He went from being totally stressed out about a home we wish to get, to becoming totally level headed and telling himself that it will happen if its meant to be. And also pointed out the pros to us waiting a bit longer. This was a nice change of pace compared to his usual flared temper and impulsive tendencies.
3. Salty snacks. They just get the job done and the cravings quenched. I'm munching on tortilla chips and veggie sticks as I write, and it's just wonderful.
4. Smartphones. Normally I protest against these damn things, but it came in super handy at our tax meeting yesterday. Also, the girls have been bonding over playing little games on the iPod, which is adorable.
5. Water. I'm always drinking the stuff, and we can't live without the stuff, so thank you, water.

2/7/15
Five things I am grateful for today:
1. My family's health. After hearing the struggle of co-workers husband who is going through chemotherapy, I am especially thankful for our health, good eating habits and exercise.
2. A warm home. With more snow expected, and also with our house-hunt on hold, I am thankful to have a warm place to call home; even if it's not our dream home.
3. Candles. The dim light and sweet scent calms me and gives me moments of presence.
4. Yoga. I am thankful to have found this practice and that I've made the time to add it into my daily (or nightly) routine.
5. Music. Whether I'm running to a Pitbull playlist or relaxing to Nora Jones, it simply helps me through.
